In addition to our features, here’s just a sampling of what’s inside
every issue:

HOMES
Take a tour of several homes throughout the region where we present  page upon page of beautiful interior photography, from detailed architecture and high design to Delta hunting camps. The phone rings off the hook if we don’t tell all of the details! Whether full of family heirlooms or completely eclectic, our Homes and Gardens sections always provide inspiration and good reading.

FOOD
The unique cuisine speaks to our rich culture and history, and Delta eats along with Delta-style entertaining is practically legendary.
Here, we explore the local fare, both classic and up-to-the-minute. From fried catfish to four-star dining, this is a hearty celebratory section of good writing and superb photography with restaurant news, entertaining tips, wine suggestions and recipes.

ART
They say something must be in the water here that instills creativity  in our people, and, well, maybe that’s true! You’ll never pick up an issue of Delta Magazine that doesn’t feature at least one regional  artist inside. Many of our features have also highlighted the work of  world-renowned photographers and artists whose subject or muse is the  Mississippi Delta.

MUSIC
The Delta’s role and influence in blues and rock history is simply
fascinating (Think B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan), and the area
is still a haven of musical talent. Here, we feature modern day
artists from old time rock ‘n’ roll piano players to real-deal Delta
blues performers and jazz musicians.

HISTORY
This section includes at least one well-researched topic of
historical interest—from early plantation life and blues music to
Civil War battles and the Flood of 1927. We never lack for
storytelling and history in the Delta, and this section inspires many
of the letters we receive from readers.

Q. & A.
Get up-close and personal with a notable Southern figure in each issue. Here, we’ve interviewed the likes of the late historian Shelby Foote, best-selling novelist Greg Iles, and Food Network host Paula Deen.

SHOPPING
With a national magazine approach, we feature editor’s picks and product finds throughout the region. Shopping is serious business at Delta Magazine but this well-read section is all F-U-N.
